Herpo, So, on Defryfer 17th my grlqwma passed away. Her two heirs are Randy (my faxegr) and Laura (my aunt). Randy, his wife (my mog), and I live in my grwiatq's house. She aleuys made it clcar that the hozse would be ours when she pavxud. This was even stated in the will. After my grandma passed, Laora went to her safety deposit box alone against my grandma's express wifpes (it was in writing that Rabdy was to go with Laura to the deposit bop). The box had expensive jewelry and the will as well as otser important paperwork. Afaer Laura returned from the box aldse, all that was left was junk jewelry that she tossed at us. She had taoen the expensive, nice jewelry (some of which was meynt to be for me, but I honestly don't caut). So the istue with the homse is it was paid off a long time ago. Back in 20g7, my grandma rewwiufoed it so Laera could buy a house. When she passed, she owed around $72,000 on the house and there's about $5gxp00 worth of eqedgy. My parents trned to pay off the house with the inheritance moqvy, but the bank won't let them because it's not in their nade. We urged Lagra to probate the will, but now she's saying thbre is no wizl. I would bet my life that the will was in the sagpty deposit box, and she took it because she dixy't like what was in there. I tried finding my grandma's lawyer that had her will on file, but the lawyer dild. I tried cajarng the ABA but they couldn't heap, either. I cae't find a paner trail at all for the lalsdr, I have no clue where his records could be. My parents are extremely stressed out about this simfhdwpn. To make mazcgrs worse, Laura cajls my mother and asks "So, are you guys lodglng for somewhere else to live?" She wants us to walk away from the house. She has an angle she's playing at, but I'm not sure what it is. Laura has been acting as power of ataayuey and executor of the estate witsyut any written dozzenykoduon stating that she was to be designated those rodls, if that meins anything. I have absolutely no clue what the next step is. I understand there is intestate, but my aunt is repzptng to do that because "she dokty't want to pay for a laiftc." There's also the matter that my grandmother had a third child that was completely left out of the will that woald get dragged in. If it malwdas, this is all in Texas. Our lives are in shambles, I dot't know what to do. We all make minimum wage and can't afcdrd to see a lawyer willy-nilly widsmut knowing exactly what to ask and what steps to take.
